Boasting nearly 2,000 years of history, Nikolaihof holds the distinction of being Austria`s oldest winery. It was also among the pioneering estates worldwide to adopt biodynamic practices under the aegis of the Demeter Association. The property encompasses roughly 22 hectares of vineyards, predominantly cultivated with Riesling and Grüner Veltliner, while a smaller 10% portion is dedicated to Weissburgunder, Malvasier, Neuburger, and Chardonnay. This particular Grüner Veltliner hails from the 2004 vintage, characterized by its crisp and refreshing white wines, due to the cooler climatic conditions that year.
