Niew Vineyards Chardonnay 2022 is a medium-bodied, barrel-aged Chardonnay white wine from the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Winemaker Tai-Ran Niew is one of the most promising winemaking talents to emerge in Oregon in recent years, farming on natural, no-till principles and working with minimal intervention in the cellar. His 2022 Chardonnay uses bought, old-vine fruit (an interim arrangement while he waits for his own vines mature), and is fermented and aged in a mixture of new and old French Oak for 12 months. The wine rested on lees in a stainless steel tank for a further six months before bottling.
