This is a rare bottle of 1961 Musigny Grand Cru, released by Berry Bros. & Rudd, Britain`s oldest, family-owned wine and spirits merchant. The 1961 vintage experienced a somewhat warm early spring, followed by a cooler phase that led to uneven flowering and berry development. However, a subsequent dry and hot summer yielded small, high-quality grapes. These wines started out fairly restrained and required time to mellow. The finest examples from this vintage are still displaying remarkable quality.
