Mumm was originally founded by three brothers, Jacobus, Gottlieb and Phillip Mumm, who were German winemakers from the Rhine Valley. Part of the Pernod Ricard group since 2005, Mumm is one of the most exported champagne brands, currently available in 150 countries. Mumm’s top wine is the Cuvée R. Lalou, a limited release vintage champagne made from selected grand cru parcels and named after René Lalou, a former head of the company. This release is a rare bottle of the 1979 vintage, which was marked by impressive balance and longevity.
