Moulin Touchais is an iconic producer of the classic Loire Valley sweet wine, Coteaux du Layon. Slightly less rich and sweet than other dessert wines, it is produced from Chenin Blanc and typically contains between 70-80g of residual sugar. These wines truly come into their own after several decades in bottle and this 1968 is a complex mature wine with aromas of candied grapefruit, quince preserve and honey. On the palate, it is slightly waxy in texture with added flavours of cinnamon and mint. It would pair superlatively with Tarte Normande.
