A red wine produced by Morgenster Wine & Olive Estate, located in Somerset West, South Africa. The estate is well-regarded for its wines and its extra virgin olive oil. The area benefits from a Mediterranean climate, with cool sea breezes from the nearby False Bay, which contribute to a longer ripening period for the grapes. The 2015 Morgenster Estate Red is a Bordeaux-style blend made predominantly from Cabernet Sauvignon, along with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The wine is known for its deep, rich colour, and complex flavour profile including blackberries, cherries and cassis, plus notes of tobacco, cedar and spices. The wine has a well-structured tannin profile and shows excellent aging potential.
