Moone-Tsai Paige Cuvée Chardonnay 2019 is a full-bodied single-vineyard Chardonnay from the Napa Valley of California. Having been founded in 2003, Moone-Tsai is a relative newcomer to Napa but has, in a short space of time, made waves with its exceptional quality wines. The prized vineyard for the Paige Cuvée is on a northwest-facing hillside in the heart of the Russian River Valley and is planted with low-yielding old vines. The 2019 vintage was whole cluster-pressed and barrel-fermented, then aged on lees for 17 months in 40% new French Oak. The wine offers a floral nose with notes of gardenia along with ripe pear and banana bread. On the beautifully balanced palate follow notes of sweet oak, grapefruit zest, and shaved almonds.
