Chateau Montelena Chardonnay 2020 is a full-bodied, barrel-aged Chardonnay produced in the Napa Valley of California. Chateau Montelena is a renowned Napa wine estate producing long-aged estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay wines. This Calistoga-based estate traces its history back to 1882, when California State Senator Alfred Tubbs planted his first vineyards intent on making wines to rival the best of the Old World. The 2020 Chardonnay was matured in French oak barrels for 10 months. Winemaker note. "The parade of citrus marches on, although the midpalate turns more tropical with starfruit and pineapple. And while there’s still plenty of green apple, the texture and juiciness of Asian pear adds complexity and depth. The acid is consistent and winds its way through the profile, lifting the texture and balancing the suppleness from barrel. This will be a long-lived wine."
