Established in 2008, Matervini represents the winemaking venture of co-founders Santiago Achaval and Roberto Cipresso, both with previous ties to Achaval Ferrer. This particular release is crafted from 100% Malbec sourced from 5 hectares of 7-year-old vines situated in the Canota Valley, within the Pre-Cordillera foothills of Las Heras, Mendoza. Fermented in concrete vats with thorough remontage, the wine undergoes a 15-month maturation in 160- and 225-liter French oak barrels. Expressive, open-knit, and aromatic, it truly highlights the intrinsic qualities of Argentina’s flagship grape variety.
