Situated to the west of the commune of Cantenac and south-west of Margaux, Château Martinens is a 25-hectare vineyard estate planted on gravelly, sandy-clayey hilltops with a clay-limestone subsoil. This release is from one the best vintages of the 1970s, which produced a reasonable size crop and classic, elegant wines.
