Martin Ray Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon 1997 is a full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon blend from the Diamond Mountain AVA of California`s Napa Valley. The family-owned Martin Ray Vineyard and Winery was founded in 1943. Founder Martin Ray was one of the pioneers of single-variety wine in California. The property is now owned by Courtney Benham, creator of the successful Blackstone wine brand. The rugged, elevated vineyard site of Diamond Mountain is rightly renowned for producing intense, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignons with very ripe tannins. "Full-throttle, ultra-rich and concentrated, with complex currant, anise, black cherry, blackberry and earth notes, finishing with a strong, rich, mineral aftertaste." Wine Spectator, 2000
