Sylvain Pataille is a highly regarded wine producer who built up his domaine from scratch. He set up his own label in 1999, while still working at a winemaking laboratory in Beaune. Today Sylvain owns 15 hectares of organic certified vineyards, all situated within Marsannay. Le Chapitre, situated north of Marsannay, is probably the most prized vineyard in the area, from which this superb red wine is produced.
