Established in 1970 by Enrique Forner, Marqués de Cáceres has been a pioneering force in Rioja. Forner played a pivotal role as one of the first in the region to advocate for the use of French oak barrels in the ageing process. The 1994 harvest in Spain was modest yet exceptional, yielding rich, ripe, and intricate wines characterized by both colour and depth. Every region demonstrated excellence, drawing favourable comparisons to the wines of 1964.
