Mackinlay`s Shackleton Replica (2nd Edition) is a blended Scotch whisky produced in the Speyside region of Scotland. This novel release is a faithful replica of the whisky taken to Antarctica by Ernest Shackleton to fortify his men on the Nimrod expedition of 1907-1909. Bottles of Mackinlay-produced whisky which had been preserved in the Antarctic permafrost were uncovered and analysed in order to faithfully recreate the blended whisky Shackleton and his team would have drunk on their historic expedition. This second edition contains malt whiskies from Glen Mhor and Dalmore, among others.
