Lupicaia is a highly regarded red wine produced by the Castello del Terriccio in Tuscany. This Super Tuscan wine is often compared to top Bordeaux blends due to its structure and complexity. The grapes are harvested from vineyards in the coastal region of Tuscany, which benefits from a unique microclimate influenced by the sea. The 2001 vintage was considered a good one in Tuscany, with favourable weather conditions that allowed the grapes to ripen fully, resulting in wines with good concentration and balance. While the wine is enjoyable now, it can also continue to age and develop in the bottle for several more years, further enhancing its complexity and character.
