The present Loch Lomond Distillery was established in 1964 and whisky production began in the following year. The business has changed hands several times and it now owned by the Asia-based Hillhouse Capital Group. Aged in three types of American oak casks, the 18-year-old Loch Lomond is the perfect representation of the distillery’s style, offering notes of baked apple and rich toffee, with a thin layer of wood smoke on the finish.
