Husband and wife team Ted and Heidi Lemon are behind this family-run winery, established in 1993. `The Haven` is Littorai`s original estate vineyard, planted in 2001 and is where they first started farming biodynamically. Located between the tiny town of Occidental and the Pacific Ocean, Ted considers this one of his Grand Cru vineyards. 2018 was a stellar vintage. healthy fruit, plenty of time to pick each site at optimum ripeness with no weather pressure, and the vintage’s inherent quality all conspired to produce an exceptional result. 100% Pinot Noir, the nose is very intense with brandied cherries, plum and black liquorice with hints of black pepper and sweet spices. A lovely richness on the palate gives way to grippy tannins and fresh acidity.
