The 2021 ‘Liberty’ from Domaine la Barroche is a blend of 52% Grenache, 18% Cinsault, 13% Mourvedre, 12% Syrah and 5% Carignan. The grapes take their roots in the southernmost part of the Rhône valley, next to Caumont sur Durance. ‘Liberty’ is a nod to their ability to throw off the constraints of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape regulations in this peppery and fragrant wine.
