Situated in the heart of the Saint-Julien appellation, Château Léoville Poyferré is a Second Growth estate currently owned by the Cuvelier family. This release is the 1989 vintage of its grand vin, a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc. The wine is in a great place right now, displaying clear tertiary notes of mushroom and truffle, complemented by hints of liquorice and mint.
