La Tache DRC 1991

DRC La Tâche 1991 is a full-bodied red wine from the Grand Cru climat of Echézeaux in the Côte de Nuits. With a rich heritage that goes back to the 16th century, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is a property that needs no introduction. The domaine, which is co-owned by the Villaine and Leroy families, is the largest proprietor of Grand Cru vineyards in Vosne-Romanée. The domaine has always cultivated its vines according to the principles of organic farming and in 2017 obtained the Biodyvin biodynamic certification. On the 1991 La Tâche Grand Cru. "The 1991 La Tâche Grand Cru is a remarkable wine. With a stunning nose like before, this has really opened in recent years, poised with dark berry fruit, Earl Grey and just a hint of liquorice. There are many scents to lose yourself in (and it totally bosses the 1991 Chambertin from Rousseau that it is paired with). The palate is threaded through with a killer line of acidity, extraordinarily pure with tannins that melted only after a quarter-century.
