La Fleur de Gay 1990 is a full-bodied Merlot-based red wine from the Pomerol appellation of Bordeaux. Le Fleur de Gay’s debut was in 1982 and is made from 100% Merlot from the oldest vines of Château La Croix de Gay. With some of the oldest vines in Pomerol, the wines are often wonderfully concentrated, rich and exuberant. "Subtle wine. Medium-ruby colour. Very pretty Plum, violet and berry aromas, with a hint of earth. Full-bodied ,with firm tannins and a long, fresh and fruity aftertaste. Will age for many years to come, but why wait?
