Château Kirwan 1978 is a mature-vintage Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux. Château Kirwan is a Third Growth property in Margaux. The Schÿler family acquired the estate in 1925 and it is currently managed by Sophie, Nathalie and Yann, who represent the eighth generation. The 1978 vintage from the property is fully mature, but still with vestiges of ripe fruit behind the tertiary notes of leather, mushroom and dried meat.
