Kinclaith 16 Year Old G&M Connoisseurs Choice 1966

Kinclaith
Kinclaith was established in the late 1950s as an extension to the Strathclyde grain distillery in Glasgow and was dismantled just two decades later in 1977. The malt spirit produced was almost exclusively used in the popular blended whisky Long John. A short lifespan and no official bottlings make Kinclaith one of the rarest single malts in Scotland with just a handful of independent editions ever being issued.
Whisky critic Michael Jackson described the spirit as 'light and fruity' while Serge at WhiskyFun remarks on the citrussy, barley forward character.
