Jordan Winery is a well-regarded California wine producer located in the Alexander Valley AVA of Sonoma County. Founded in 1972 by Tom and Sally Jordan, the winery is known for its focus on producing elegant, food-friendly wines, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay being their main varietals. This release is primarily made from Cabernet Sauvignon, with small percentages of Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Malbec blended in to add complexity and balance. The 2012 vintage in Alexander Valley was outstanding, marked by ideal growing conditions with a long, warm summer and a dry, mild fall. These conditions allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly, resulting in wines with excellent flavour development, good tannin structure and balanced acidity.
