John Duval’s Plexus 2022 is a blend of 57% Roussanne, 31% Marsanne and 12% Viognier. The Roussanne grapes are sourced from the Kalimna sub-region, the Marsanne from Marananga, and the Viognier from Eden Valley. On the nose, expect ripe nectarines, peaches, and pears with subtle notes of ginger spice and quince blossom. The palate carries layers of pristine peaches, nectarines, and pears, complemented by hints of mandarin and just a sprinkle of baking spices.
This 2022 White Plexus is a blend of Roussanne, Marsanne and Viognier - a Barossan take on the Côtes du Rhône blend. It's a wine that impresses with its detail rather than sheer power. There are layers of beeswax, lanolin and pith aromas with subtle nutty nuances thanks to six months of aging in older French oak. Then, fresh, bright, juicy acidity gives upfront impact before settling into a creamy textured package, that acid line holding it through to a decent finish.
