Barossa Valley Wines

Renowned for its powerful red wines, particular Shiraz, the Barossa Valley's fortunes as a top wine region were thought by some to be waning in the mid-1980s. A string of great vintages and a reassessment by top wine critics like Robert Parker turned things around and the region is now home to some of the world's top wineries.

For those who enjoy their reds with depth, concentration and complexity, the region has much to offer. Producers like Torbreck, Chris Ringland, Powell and Son, John Duval and Two Hands are regularly achieving top scores from the wine press and take pride of place on the wine lists of top restaurants the world over.
