Cuvée 742 is based mostly on the 2014 vintage but with the addition of a substantial amount of reserve wine. Eschewing existing methods this was aged on lees under cork rather than crown seal. The result is a great deal more complexity and is apparent in the gorgeously nuanced nose of pear, citrus oil, cinnamon and nuts. Bottled extra brut it is irresistibly bright, vivacious and silky smooth.
