Taittinger Prélude is a 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir sourced from Grands Crus and is aged for at least 5 years before release. The extended ageing certainly gives an extra dimension with smoky, autolytic notes amongst broad and rich stone fruits. The palate is intense and full-bodied with perky acidity and a deliciously long finish.
