Originally established in 1879, Inglenook has a long and storied history in Napa Valley. The estate was purchased by the renowned film director Francis Ford Coppola in 1975, who eventually restored the Inglenook name in 2011. The winery is known for producing high-quality, terroir-driven wines that showcase the unique characteristics of the Rutherford AVA. The 2019 Inglenook Rubicon is made predominantly from Cabernet Sauvignon, with some portions of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot blended in. The wine is aged in French oak barrels, with a portion of them being new. The 2019 vintage in Napa Valley was considered excellent, with a long growing season that allowed for optimal ripening and flavour development in the grapes.
