Hyde de Villaine is a joint venture between the Hyde family of Hyde Vineyards in California and the de Villaine family of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in Burgundy, France. The collaboration brings together the expertise and winemaking traditions of both families. The 2018 Hyde de Villaine Belle Cousine is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot grapes. The grapes were grown in the Carneros appellation of California. The wine was fermented in oak barrels and then aged for 22 months in oak barrels.
