Hervé Villemade Pivoine 2021 is a single-vineyard red wine produced from organically farmed Malbec (aka Côt) in the Loire Valley of northern France. Hervé Villemade produces low-intervention wines from his winery in Cour-Cheverny. Pivoine is matured in a combination of concrete vats, amphorae and used 550l oak barrels. A wine which displays nuanced flavour and texture. There is a wonderful softness and fruit purity, with plush red fruits complemented by subtle earthiness and ripe tannins.
