Heitz Cellars is the iconic Napa Valley winery founded in 1961 by Joe and Alice Heitz. It is best known for its single vineyard wines made of Cabernet Sauvignon, and in particular the Martha`s Vineyard wine, the first vintage of which was 1966. 1992 is remembered mostly for two distinct heat waves in August that gave the wines their ripe, racy personalities.
