Guiraud 1976 is a fully mature sweet wine from the Sauternes appellation of Bordeaux. Château Guiraud is a Premier Cru Classé wine estate that produces some of the finest sweet wines within the Sauternes appellation. This bottling is from the 1976 vintage – an undistinguished one for Bordeaux red wines but which produced a good number of long-lived sweet wines. "Dark amber/gold in colour, this wine has a roasted, ripe fruity bouquet suggestive of sauteed oranges and almonds. On the palate, the wine is full bodied, sweet, and rich, with a heady alcoholic finish. The wine has reached its plateau of maturity." Robert Parker, 1998
