Ranked as a second growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, Château Gruaud-Larose is a well-known wine producer in the Saint-Julien appellation. The 82-hectare vineyard are planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. In the winery, the grapes are fermented separately in large wooden vats before aging in oak barrel for 18 months. This is a rare opportunity to purchase the 1945 vintage of its flagship wine, a historical year which marked the end of World War II.
