Greywacke Wild Sauvignon Blanc 2022 presents a distinctive take on the classic New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. The wine exhibits a pale yellow hue with green highlights. The nose reveals a blend of fruitiness and herbaceous notes, intertwining with subtle savoury elements, including a touch of woodsmoke and hints of fresh dough, attributed to its natural fermentation and barrel maturation. On the palate, it offers a medium body, crisp acidity, and flavours of lemon, passionfruit, thyme and fennel, culminating in a rounded finish. Greywacke was founded by Kevin Judd, a former chief winemaker at Cloudy Bay.
