Dick and Ann Grace established Grace Family Vineyards in April 1976, planting their St. Helena vineyard with Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate produces three wines. the flagship expression from their property in St. Helena, ‘Blank’ from a vineyard in Rutherford, and the more recent bottling named ‘Reliquus’. The 1992 vintage in California was generally considered to be a good year for Cabernet Sauvignon. It was a cooler vintage with moderate temperatures throughout the growing season, which allowed the grapes to develop slowly and evenly. As a result, many Cabernet Sauvignon wines from the 1992 vintage exhibited good fruit concentration, balanced acidity, and smooth tannins, making them enjoyable and age-worthy.
