Marchesi Frescobaldi Gorgona Bianco 2022 is a full-bodied blended white wine produced on the island of Gorgona on the Tuscan archipelago of central Italy. The Gorgona project began in August 2012 and sees Lamberto Frescobaldi make wine with the inmates of Gorgona, the only prison island in Europe. Prisoners spend the final part of their sentence on the island working in nature to develop skills to aid their re-integration into society. This blend of Vermentino and Ansonica grapes evokes its Mediterranean island location, with lemon rind and grapefruit notes, along with beeswax, honey and Mediterranean herbs.
