Based in Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Heresztyn-Mazzini was formed in 2012 when Florence Heresztyn took over her family Domaine with her husband Simon Mazzini. Many of their vineyards have impressively old vines, ranging from 70 to 90 years old and their ‘Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes’ is a particular standout. The 2014 growing season in Burgundy was marked by a cool and wet spring, which caused some challenges during flowering and resulted in lower yields. However, the summer months were drier and warmer, allowing for better ripening of the grapes.
