Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Françoise Chauvenet is a well-established Domaine dating back to 1853. The estate produces a wide range of wines from Burgundy, Beaujolais and also a small selection of Vins de France. This particular release is a village-level Gevrey-Chambertin from 1985, an outstanding vintage for Burgundy. The warm summer conditions from August until well into September made for a easy growing season, resulting in perfectly ripened grapes.
