Based in Gevrey-Chambertin, Denis Mortet is a family-owned estate run by Laurence and her two children, Clémence and Arnaud. The Domaine was originally founded in 1956 by Charles Mortet with a single hectare of vines to his name. This release comes from ‘Les Champeaux’, a Premier Cru vineyard planted entirely to Pinot Noir. The 1998 vintage produced reds that were firm and tightly structured in their youth but are now showing their true potential.
