Domaine Claude Dugat Gevrey-Chambertin 2010 is a village Burgundy Pinot Noir from the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits. Something of a cult producer in Burgundy, Claude Dugat produces concentrated but also very focused and elegant Pinot Noirs with long ageing potential. The domaine`s village Gevrey is matured in 60% new and 40% one-year-old barrels. All the barrels are from Francois Frères. "The 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin boasts striking purity in its bouquet. That intensity carries through to the palate, where a rich melange of dark red fruit, flowers and spices comes to life. The balance and overall sense of harmony here are first-rate.
