Situated in Gevrey-Chambertin, the Denis Mortet estate is a family-run Burgundy winery now under the guidance of Laurence Mortet and her two children, Clémence and Arnaud. The domain`s origins trace back to 1956 when Charles Mortet laid the foundation with just one hectare of vineyards. The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru is highly fragrant and characterized by floral notes. While oak elements are perceptible, they have harmoniously melded with the wine. The tannins are velvety, and the wine is currently in an ideal drinking window.
