La Scolca Gavi dei Gavi d`Antan 2009 is a mature Gavi de Gavi white wine produced from 100% Cortese grapes in Piedmont, northern Italy. Founded in 1919, La Scolca is one of the most historic white wine producers in Italy. The estate`s Gavi dei Gavi d`Antan cuvée is only produced in exceptionally good vintages on the slopes of Rovereto Superiore, the unofficial grand cru of the Gavi appellation. Demonstrating the extraordinary ageing potential of Gavi, the wine is matured in stainless steel tanks for a total of 10 years before release.
