Fox Creek Reserve Merlot 2000 is a mature-vintage, full-bodied red wine from the McLaren Vale region of South Australia. Established in 1984, Fox Creek is a well-respected winery in McLaren Vale, where a moderate Mediterranean climate contributes freshness and flavour concentration to signature red grape varieties such as Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. On the 2000 Reserve Merlot. "Brilliantly ripe, intense nose with a tarry, spicy edge and classy oak. The palate shows firm, ripe, concentrated black fruits with a spicy finish and a slight chalky, leafy edge hiding under the fruit. Very Australian." Jamie Goode
