Weingut Forstmeister Geltz Zilliken (often abbreviated simply to “Zilliken”) is run by 10th-generation winemaker, Hans-Joachim Zilliken. With focus exclusively on Riesling, they produce wine at all levels, from Gutswein (entry level) to Ortswein (village) and Grosse Lage (single vineyard) from 100% estate-grown fruit. Butterfly is a bright and juicy wine produced in an off-dry (18g/L) yet zesty and zippy style. It has lovely notes of Granny Smith apple, lime zest and hints of lemon balm.
