This is a rare bottle of 1978 Cabernet Sauvignon produced by Firestone Vineyard. On the nose, expect mineral notes of flint, earth and ashes, tempered by Christmas spices. The palate reveals cassis, dark berries, a touch of leather and tobacco. The tannins have melted leaving a fresh acidity and great tension. A real gem.
