Ferrari-Carano was founded in 1981 by second generation Italian-Americans Don and Rhonda Carano. Their very first wines were released in 1987, a 1986 Fumé Blanc and a 1985 Alexander Valley Chardonnay. This release is one of their first expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon, made with grapes grown in Alexander Valley. Owned by Bill and Carol Foley since 2019, Ferrari-Carano still produces the Fumé Blanc and Chardonnay as well as over 20 other white and red wines.
