Tenuta delle Terre Nere is the creation of the dynamic Marc de Grazia, renowned for his role in the `Barolo Boys` during the 1980s. Spanning around 55 hectares, this Sicilian estate boasts some very old vineyards, some of which house pre-phylloxera vines, where this expression comes from. Introduced in 2006, the wine, made entirely with Nerello Mascalese, undergoes barrel ageing in French oak barriques for up to 18 months. The annual production is restricted to approximately 4,000 bottles.
