The Las Pizarras range by the highly acclaimed Chilean winery, Viña Errázuriz is what they consider to be their Grand Cru expressions of Chardonnay, Syrah and Pinot Noir and are strictly limited production wines. The Pinot Noir comes from four specific parcels within their cool-climate estate in Aconcagua Costa that have significant amounts of slate soils (‘pizarras’, in Spanish). 2015 was a challenging but balanced vintage producing highly expressive a wine with bright acidity, ultra-fine tannins and pronounced minerality.
