El Tesoro Extra Anejo 85th Anniversary is a highly exclusive, limited-edition tequila created by master distiller Carlos Camarena to celebrate the 85th anniversary of La Alteña Distillery, which is renowned for producing exceptional tequilas. This ultra-premium tequila is crafted using 100% blue Weber agave from the highlands of Jalisco and represents the pinnacle of El Tesoro`s portfolio. The agaves used for this extraordinary tequila are cooked in traditional stone ovens, and the juice is extracted using a ‘tahona’, a centuries-old stone wheel. This meticulous process ensures that the agave`s natural flavours are preserved. The spirit is then aged for an impressive eight years in American oak barrels, much longer than typical añejo tequilas. This extended aging imparts a deep amber colour and a remarkable complexity to the tequila.
